සිංහල වැප් මහතා උපුටා දක්වා ඇත්තේ ඉංග්‍රීසි en:ecuador ලිපියෙහි (හා පැහැදිලි ලෙසින්ම ඉංග්‍රීසි විකියෙහි ඇත්තන්ට සුදුසු පරිදී) දැක්වෙන උච්චාරණ ක්‍රමයයි.
විදේශීය රටවල් හා ස්ථානවල නම් භාවිතයෙහිදී

• පරම්පරා ගණනක් තිස්සේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ (ලංකාවේ, සිංහලේ, ශෙයිලාන්, තප්‍රොබේන්......) එම රටවල්/ස්ථාන සඳහා භාවිතා කල නම
• දැනට එම රට සඳහා එම රටෙහි භාවිතා වන නම
• රාජ්‍ය තන්ත්‍රයෙහි එම රටට භාවිතා වන නම

ගැන සැලකිලිමත් විය යුතු බව හඟිමි. නිදසුනක් ලෙසින් ජපානය ලෙසින් අප හඳුන්වන රටට ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් ජැපෑන් කියාද ජපන් බසින් නිහොං කියාද කියති. පෘතුගීසි බසින් ජපොන් යයිද ලන්දේසි බසින් ජපොං යයිද කියති.
ඉක්වදෝරය යයි අප හඳුන්වන රටට ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් එක්ඩෝර් හෝ ඉක්වඩෝර් යනුවෙන්ද එම රටෙහි නිල භාෂාව වන ස්පාඤ්ඤ බසින් ඉක්වදෝර් යයිද කියති. එබැවින් මෙම ලිපිය හා එහි මාතෘකාව ඉක්වදෝරය ගැන විය යුතු බව කියමි.
මෙවැනි වෙනස්කම් තමන්ගේ මතය මතම එල්බගෙන කිරීමට වඩා, එවැන්න කිරීමට පෙර එය ගැන පැහැදිලි කිරීමක් හා/හෝ ප්‍රජා සංවාදයක් කිරීම වඩාත් සුදුසු වෙයි. ---ශ්වෙත (talk) 15:21, 24 ජූනි 2012 (යූටීසී)

I cannot resist asking this. Are you shy to admit your mistakes? Do you think you know better than any other? I am asking this because in many instances when the fact clearly point out that you are wrong you firmly reject to accept that and adamantly cling to your beliefs.
You have once told the community that with regard to place names we should always follow the way it is sounding at the entity it is used. Now here with regard to Ecuador where Spanish is spoken, we have proposed to use the way Ecuador is sounding in Spanish, which you do not accept. You hav not understood my point. As anyone else in this world I also do mistakes or may do wrong things thinking that is the correct way.

Anyone can do mistakes in wikipedia. Unless that is vandalism or intentional violation of five pillars, that is not a big issue. Anyone can correct the mistake rather than fighting.

I still believe as you hav mentioned place names we should <delete>always<delete> follow the way it is sounding at the entity it is used. There may be exceptions when there is a historical & very commonly used name in Sinhala, but this is not an exception. I have edited the article thinking that is the correct spanish . If what I have done is wrong, you & any other wikipedian is free to change it. No need of asking from me, telling me or fighting with me.

So what I have to say is clear... If something is wrong in wikipedia... please change it .....
