About C (පරිගණක භාෂාව) Page

I kindly request from Sinhala Wikipedia administration to correct this mistake in sinhala C Programming Language page. C (පරිඝණක භාෂාව)

According to Sinhala language there is not any word call "පරිඝණක". It should be corrected as "පරිගණක". I'm the person who add most of the contents to that page. But I didn't create it. And I don't have any permission to move the page. Please be kind enough to consider this request.

පරිගණක is computer in English. The original English Wikipedia article is C (Programming language) as I understand. Hence the correct name of the Sinhala article should be C (ක්‍රමලේඛන භාෂාව). Now, the most popular method in Sinhala Wikipedia is to move this article to the new title. That is not correct. It is because the old article name and new article name to be are not equivalent. (or synonymous). A person thinking that පරිගණක is the correct term for Computer & surfing the web should not find the article C (ක්‍රමලේඛන භාෂාව). If that happens he will think forever that his assumption is true. Hence I would suggest you to create a new article using the new & correct name C (ක්‍රමලේඛන භාෂාව) and copy the contents to that and continue editing there. Yes, It's true. It should be C (ක්‍රමලේඛන භාෂාව). This is the article which linked to the English article to refer Sinhala article. So creating a new page might be a problem. If we can change the page name and move it, it's the better solution. I didn't suppress the redirect creation because there might be a lot of references to the old name (even though the name is not correct). We can remove the redirect in a later day when we are cleaning things up. --Lee (talk) 11:08, 28 මාර්තු 2013 (යූටීසී)
