ඉන්දු-ආර්ය භාෂාවන් හි ශ්වා විලෝපනය

ශ්වා විලෝපනය, හෙවත් ශ්වා මැකීයාම, යනුවෙන් හැඳින්වෙන්නේ ඇතැම් අවස්ථාවල දී ලිඛිත ස්වරූපයන් හි ශ්වා අන්තර්ගත ඇසෑමි, හින්දි, උර්දු, බෙංගාලි, කාෂ්මීරි, පන්ජාබි, ගුජරාටි, සහ වෙනත් ඉන්දු-ආර්ය භාෂාවන් හි දක්නට ලැබෙන සංසිද්ධියකි. වෙනත් භාෂාවන් හි බලපෑම නිසා මරාඨී සහ මෛථිලි භාෂාවල ද මෙවන් සිදුවීමක් දැකගත හැක. ලිඛිත වචනවල ශ්වා අන්තර්ගත වුව ද උච්චාරණයේ දී ඇතැම් ශ්වා විලෝපනය කෙරේ.[1][2]

ශ්වා සඳහා IPA සංකේතය

දේවනාගරී ඇතුළු අක්ෂර ක්‍රමවල ශ්වා විලෝපනය කළ යුතු ස්ථානය සඳහන් නොවන බැවින් ස්වදේශික නොවන කථිකයන් හට සහ හඬ උපදවන මෘදුකාංගවලට මෙය අභීයෝගයක්ව පවතියි.[3]

නිදසුනක් ලෙස සංස්කෘත වචනයක් වන "රාම" (IPA: [ɽaːmɐ], राम) යන්න හින්දියෙන් "රාම්" (IPA: [raːm], राम्) ලෙස උච්චාරණය කිරීම දැක්විය හැක. හින්දි බසේ දී වචනයෙහි අවසානයට ඇති ශ්වා ශබ්දය මැකී යයි.[4] කෙසේනමුත්, මෙම අවස්ථා දෙකේදී ම වචනය ලියනු ලබන්නේ राम ලෙස ය.

පුරාතන භාෂාවන් වන සංස්කෘත හෝ පාලි මෙන්ම මධ්‍යකාලීන ස්වරූප වන මුල්කාලීන ඇසෑමි ආදී භාෂාවල ශ්වා විලෝපනය සිදු නොවේ. එසේම සියලු නූතන ද්‍රවිඩ භාෂාවන් වන දෙමළ, තෙලිඟු, කන්නඩ, සහ මලයාලම්. තුළ ද ශ්වා විලෝපනය වී නැත.
