Cefuroxime axetil, යනු දෙවෙනි පරම්පරාවේ oral cephalosporin ප්‍රතිජීවක ඖෂධයකි.

එය මුඛ මාර්ගයෙන් ගන්නා cefuroxime හි acetoxyethyl ester prodrug එකකි.^[1]

Bacterial susceptibility සංස්කරණය

methicillin, oxacillin and penicillin-sensitive බැක්ටීරියා ප්‍රබේධ වලට එරෙහිව Cefuroxime axetil භාවිතා වේ. Cefuroxime axetil, enterococci වලට එරෙහිව ක්‍රියා නොකරයි. ^[4]

ක්‍රියාකාරී ක්‍රමවේදය සංස්කරණය

Cefuroxime axetil යනු දෙවෙනි පරම්පරාවේ cephalosporin එකක් හෙයින් penicillin මෙන් එය β-lactam ring වියුහයක් දරයි. penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) හා බන්දනය මගින් බැක්ටීරියානු සෛල බිත්තිය සංස්ලේෂණ ක්‍රියාවලියේ අවසන් පියවර වළක්වන හෙයින් Cephalosporins බැක්ටීරියා නාශක ප්‍රතිජීවකයක් ලෙස ක්‍රියා කරයි. β-lactam ring, PBPs හා බැඳුන පසු cross-linking between peptidoglycan units වැළකේ.^[3]

Pharmacokinetics සංස්කරණය

අවශෝෂණය: cefuroxime axetil පරිභෝජනයෙන් පසුව esterases of mucosal cells in the gastrointestinal tract මගින් ක්‍රියාකාරී සංඝටකය වන cefuroxime බවට පත්කරයි. ඉන්පසු Cefuroxime සිරුර පුරා සංසරණයට නිදහස් වේ. cefuroxime axetil ආහාර සමඟ ගැනීමෙන් නිරාහාරව සිටින රෝගීන්ට සාපේක්ෂව අවශෝෂණ හැකියාව 52% කින් ඉහල යන බව දැක්වේ.^[4]

ව්‍යාප්තිය: cefuroxime axetil භාවිතයෙන් පසුව, එය tonsil tissue, sinus tissue, bronchial tissue සහ middle ear effusion වලදී දැකිය හැක.^[4]
