This category should be used for people who are notable only or primarily for their work as a film actor. If an actor is notable for more than just film acting, then a stub article about them should also use {{stage-actor-stub}}, or instead use {{tv-actor-stub}}, or relevant subcategories.

The perfect article about an actor gives both a (possibly short) biography and a list of performances. Also, appropriate categories should be added, especially those listed in Category:Actors by medium and Category:Actors by nationality.
