{{New page DYM}} is used in the system messages MediaWiki:Newarticletext, MediaWiki:Noarticletext, MediaWiki:Noarticletext-nopermission, and MediaWiki:Nocreatetext to check for possible intended page titles and display them in "Did you mean" message boxes.
The following page titles are checked:
- The full page title in the Draft: namespace
- The full page title, with a trailing "s" (pluralized using the most common English pluralization suffix)
- The full page title, with a trailing
) - The full page title, with a trailing
. - The full page title, without a trailing
/or\ - The full page title, stripped of any soft hyphens (all above titles also have any soft hyphens stripped)
