Purpose

The boxer infobox provides a quick overview of the most sought after information of a boxer in an easy to view sideframe to the article proper. The infobox is intended for all current, retired and dead boxers.

Parameters

Required

• name — Common name
• realname — Full name
• weight — Weight class currently fought at, or for retired and dead boxers, most famous at
• nationality — Nationality
• birth_date — Date of birth, use of {{birth date}} and {{birth date and age}} is encouraged
• birth_place — City of birth, with country if different from nationality
• style — Stance
• total — Total number of fights
• wins — Total number of wins
• losses — Total number of losses
• draws — Total number of draws
• no contests — Total number of no contests
• KO — Total number of Knock Outs

Optional

• image — Image if available
• imagesize — Size of image, in px
• nickname — Most common nicknames
• height — Use of {{height}} is encouraged
• reach — Published reach
• death_date — Date of death, wikilinked for date preference
• death_place — Place of death

Microformat

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the person's details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia or via a browser tool operated by a reader, to (for example) add the subject to an address book. Date-of-birth ("bday") parameters will only be included in the microformat if {{Birth date}} or {{Birth date and age}} are used in the infobox.
