වර්ගීකරණය: Semitic-speaking peoples: Arab people

Arabs are people of Arab origin. Arabs consist of descendants of the nomadic people who inhabited the northern and central Arabian peninsula and Syrian Desert as well as the peoples who acquired the ethnic, linguistic, cultural, historical, identical, nationalist, geographical and political identity. Presently, "Arab" refers to a large number of people whose native regions form the Arab world due to spread of Arabs throughout the region during the early Arab conquests of the 7th and 8th centuries. Articles listed under any of the subcategories of Category:Arab people by century and Category:Arab people by occupation include:

  • people from the Arab world before present-day nationalities were carved out (including many medieval people);
  • people from the Arab world who did not self-identify with any more precise nationality;
  • people from the Arab world whose nationality is not indicated in the article.

Other Arab people should fall into subgroups of the category. People from the modern country of Saudi Arabia fall under Category:Saudi Arabian people. Groups from pre-Islamic Arabia fall under Category:Tribes of Arabia.
