බහරේන් නිල වශයෙන් හඳුන්වනු ලබන්නේ බහරේන් රාජධානිය ලෙසයි. මෙය අල් සාෆීනා රාජකීය පවුල් විසින් පාලනය කරනු ලබන පර්සියානු ගල්ෆ්හි පිහිටි කුඩා දුපතකි. බහරේන් දුපත් 33 කින් සමන්විත කොදෙව්වකි. විශාලතම බහරෙන් දුපත කී.මී. 55 දිගින් හා කි.මී 18 පළල යුත් එකකි. සවුදි අරාබියට බටහිරට වන්නට පිහිටා ඇති අතර එය බහරේන් හා ෆාහාඩ් රජ මාවත (1986 නොවැම්බර් මස 25 දින විවෘත කරනු ලැබු මාවත) හා සම්බන්ධයි. කටාර් ගිනිකොන දෙසින් ගල්ෆ් හරහා පැතිරේ. යෝජිත කටාර් බහරේන් මාවත බහරේන් හා නාමර් සම්බන්ධ කරන අතර, එය ලෝකයේ දීර්ඝතම මාවත වන්නේය. බහරේන් එහි ඇති තෙල් හා මුතු වලට ප්‍රසිද්ධයක් දරයි. මෙහි ඉතා උස් වු ගොඩනැගිලි (Skyscrapers) ඉදිකර තිබේ. වර්තමානයේ යෝජිත මීටර් 1022 (අඩි 3353) කින් යුත් මුරුජාන් කුළුන වැනි ගොඩනැගිලිද ඇත. මෙහි බහරේන් ජාත්‍යන්තර ධාවන පථයද පිහිටා ඇත. එබැවින් බහරේන් F 1 ධාවන තරඟයද මෙහි පැවැත්වේ.
