චීන ජනරජයෙන් ඉදිකිරීම් වියදම් ලබාදුන් එය රුපියල් මිලියන 3000 ක් වේ. චීන රජයේ අධාර සහ ඔවුන්ගේ ශ්‍රම දායකත්වය හා කළමනාකාරීත්වය සමග ශ්‍රී ලංකා රජයේද සහයෝගයෙන් ඉදිකර ඇත. 2005 වසරේ අගෝස්තු 30 වැනිදා ඉදිකිරීම සඳහා ලංකාව හා චීනය අතර ගිවිසුම අත්සන් කෙරුණු අතර මෙය නිර්මාණය කළේ චීන වාස්තු විද්‍යා නිර්මාණ අධ්‍යයන ආයතනය මගිනි.

ප්‍රධාන ප්‍රේක්‍ෂකාගාරයේ ආසන 1288 කි. ප්‍රධාන වේදිකාව විදුලි බලයෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක වෙයි. කොටස් 4 කින් යුතුව ඉහළට හා පහළට චලනය කළ හැකි ආකාරයට මෙය නිම වී ඇත. මෙහි එකවර ප්‍රසංග හෝ නාට්‍ය 3 ක් රඟ දැක්විය හැකිවන පරිදි ප්‍රධාන ප්‍රේක්‍ෂකාගාරයට අමතර තවත් ප්‍රේක්‍ෂකාගාර 2 ක් පවතී.මෙහි උස මීටර් 29 කි.
