Deletion of a Wikipedia article removes the current version and [[Wikipedia:page history|all previous versions]] from public view. Unlike [[Wikipedia:Vandalism#Types of vandalism|page blanking]], which can be performed (or reverted) by any user, deletion can be performed only by [[Wikipedia:Administrators|administrators]]. Administrators can also view deleted pages and reverse ("undelete") any deletion. All such actions are [[Special:Log/delete|logged]]. If in doubt as to whether there is consensus to delete a page, administrators will normally not delete it.

* Articles for which thorough attempts to find [[Wikipedia:Reliable sources|reliable sources]] to [[Wikipedia:Verifiability|verify]] them have failed
* Articles whose subjects fail to meet the relevant [[Wikipedia:Notability|notability guideline]] ([[WP:N]], [[WP:BIO]], [[WP:MUSIC]], [[WP:CORP]] and so forth)
* Articles that breach Wikipedia's policy on [[Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons|biographies of living persons]]
* Redundant or otherwise useless [[Wikipedia:Templates|templates]]
* Categories representing [[Wikipedia:Overcategorization|overcategorization]]
* [[Wikipedia:Files|Files]] that are unused, obsolete, or violate the [[Wikipedia:Non-free content|Non-free]] policy
* Any other use of the [[Wikipedia:Main namespace|article]], [[Wikipedia:Template namespace|template]], [[Wikipedia:Project namespace|project]], or [[Wikipedia:User page|user]] namespace that is contrary to the established separate policy for that namespace.
